...Super good and less good
Super Good: My DNA test came back and I am not a mutant! This means that I get to keep all of my original parts! Yippee! And, I had the last of the “hard” chemos yesterday and am feeling pretty good. I’m even going to go see Wong Kar-Wai’s new English-language film, “My Blueberry Nights” today.
Less Good: The next 4 rounds of chemo are this drug called Taxotere and it sounds pretty scary. Apparently, you can have allergic reactions to it and, in very rare cases (according to Dr. Hu), your fingernails can fall off! I’m not looking forward to it but what can you do. Also, I found out I will be having 6 weeks of radiation at a rate of 5 times a week. That means I’ll have 30 doses of radiation! Yikes!
Overall, I’m getting more towards the end of this stuff. Then watch out! I will have so much energy and excitement I won’t know what to do! :)
